Sex In TV Shows
TV shows these days tend to involve more and more sexual content or be more of a sexual nature. I’m talking about your half hour to one hour TV shows, be they drama or comedy. I guess that the TV networks have finally realized that sex sells. And what’s with the taboo against sex, anyway! We are all sexual beings!
This is especially true with the new shows coming out like The Bedford Diaries, just to mention one off the top of my head. The storyline of this Bedford show is sort of a copy of a Canadian show called Naked Josh shot in Montreal which has been airing for the last 3 or 4 years.
Let’s take the classic comedy show Seinfeld. Even though the crew of Seinfeld called it quits years ago, I still love to watch and re-watch many of the episodes without getting bored. Besides your main plot, they are so many sub-plots in each episode. Anyway, my top three episodes are as follows:
The Lobster/Shrinkage episode
The Soup Nazi
Masturbation episode
notice two of the three involve sex in one way or another.
